These are our selection guidelines
Overview
- One contest on any of the online platform (mainly codeforces).
- Shortlist provisional Members.
- First shortlist.
- Observe provisional Members for a period of time.
- Final shortlist.
Shortlist Criteria

Candidates are divided based on their year of graduation.
- From each year a maximum of 12 members (4 teams of 3 members each ) will be present at any time in the
club.
- One team (consisting of 3 members ) from the non-CSE background from each year is selected for sure.
- All the other 9 members out of 12 are exclusively selected based on their merit.
- Within an equivalent class priority of selection is based on rank in the respective contest only.
- Candidates with more attempts left for ICPC are given more importance over the other candidates.

Club members have the authority to rule out a candidate if they sense that candidate has been involved in malpractice at any stage of induction process.
What we consider
- Candidate's logical ability.
- Competitive Programming skills.
- Motivation to work for the club.

Consider any priorities for selecting the rest 9 members out of 12 members from each year ( open to all the
candidates from respective divisions regardless of branch of study ) .
Announcement
- Poster, Google Form, Email.
- All the information regarding screening rounds will be notified to candidates before the events.
First screening round - Contest on Codeforces
- A Codeforces contest will be conducted by the club members to judge a candidate's competitive programming
skills.
Shortlist for Provisional Members

At least twice the required number of candidates are shortlisted after the First screening round.

Based on the provisional members confirmation first shortlist will be released.

Final shortlist
- All the shortlisted candidates are monitored for 2 weeks wherein we check their interest in Competitive Programming and their
participation in CodeChef, Codeforces, Atcoder, Beginner contests.also all the candidates must participate in weekly ICPC mirrors with
their team.
- We repeat we don't consider anything other than logical skills,CP skills , motivation to work for the club.
- Final shortlist is announced after the 2-week monitoring program.
- Candidates selected from first year will stay provisional till 2nd semester.
- The members become inactive from competitive programming will be expelled from the club.
